Mermaid Sightings

A Sunday Well Spent Brings a Week of Content

Quote of the Day: Don’t waste sunsets with people who will be gone by sunrise.

I’m very selective in my circle because I firmly believe you are only as good as the company you keep. This is a photo I took with my iPhone 7. Amazing quality, right? Shout out to Apple. I spent the evening with my current roommate who I’ve gotten to know pretty well over this summer. I mean, when you live with someone, not much is off limits and developing a friendship is inevitable.

There’s plenty of fish in the sea, but I’m a mermaid.

Have you ever seen something so beautiful that it stopped you right in your tracks? We initially went for a jog but as the sun began to set, the sky became engulfed with shades or pink, orange, and blues, making us pause for breath to gaze at the glorious masterpiece before us. The sunsets here in St. Pete are really something else. No picture could do it any justice. It’s magical. And once again I’m reminded of what a marvelous universe we live in.

As we dipped our toes in the water, a shiny iridescent shell caught my eye. It was broken, but it was perfect and beautiful. I slipped it into my pocket as my roommate dug her toes further into the sand.
