Why do I date older men? It’s simple. Because they’re experienced. They don’t play games. They are established. They are committed. They know what they want. They know what they have, when they have. Therefore they will shower you with love and attention. Less conflict and BS. More understanding and better communication. At least, that was my experience with the two older men I’ve dated. And I’m not talking about dating someone who resembles your Grandpa. I’m talking Amal and George Clooney. Gal Gadot and husband Yaron Versano. Sofia Richie and Scott Disick. A 10-15 year age gap is becoming more and more common, almost normalized at this point. And it definitely goes both ways. (Kourtney and Younes, anyone?)
Perhaps Hollywood has come around yet much of society has a stigma against this. Especially if it’s a woman. If two people are in love or enjoy each other’s company and it’s all consensual, what is the big problem? Perhaps I don’t want to date my own age. I’ve been told I’ve got an old soul and I believe it. I always felt a little different among my peers anyway. I’m tired of the judgement and looks I get when I’m with someone who is older than me. The jokes are getting old and redundant. Let people live.
